How we do it…
We ask ourselves this question sometimes too! As a company, we have a passion for producing unique packaging (wewow has been innovating in the CD/DVD packaging sector since 2004 with clients such as Amazon and the BBC) because we know it helps our clients stand out and win more business – very important in the current climate!
I was fortunate to meet a very special lady called Sarah Dunwell in 2010, the Chief Exec. of The Create Foundation. Sarah asked us to help them make a new catering platter box and as part of our design process we developed a really unique leg mechanism (patent application #1106439.1) that ‘presents’ the contents and raises any box.
We don’t actually make the boxes at wewow HQ but we have scoured the country and have awarded a manufacturing license to a BRC-approved carton manufacturer who use the very latest equipment; they make boxes for Morrisons et al too so you can imagine what quality procedures they have in place!
You deal direct with us though so we can manage the relationship and support you with artwork production etc and then we work with the factory to produce your boxes.
We can actually make the wow-box from several different substrates but folding box board and corrugated board seem to be the best materials for now. We are always open to new ideas though; please get in touch if you have something else in mind.
Our first customers are in the food sector, in particular corporate buffet delivery companies, but we envisage interest from many different sectors such as retailers wanting to present products in a totally new way.
We would love to hear from you, so please get in touch and let’s work together to develop something really special.
